EnvironmentalEngineer – DMAX Brookville
Scope
TheDayton area will soon be home to a new General Motors plant. Construction hasalready started in the area of West Campus Boulevard and Collective Way inBrookville on the new GM DMAX plant.
Thenew plant will operate concurrently with the original DMAX plant in Moraine,sending the established plant machined engine components. Since 1998, DMAX has been a 60-40 jointventure of GM and Isuzu, with GM being the majority owner. The Moraine planthas built more than 2 million engines since 1999.
As an Environmental Engineer, youwill be working in an exciting manufacturing environment and be a part of ateam fulfilling GM’s Vision of Zero, Zero, Zero. As a valued memberwithin the Sustainable Workplaces team, your role is focused on providing technicalexpertise, developing strategies and looking ahead for the future success ofGM. Skills
- Regulatory knowledge. Experience in Air Permitting, Storm Water Permitting, Wastewater Pretreatment Permitting and/or Large Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator Requirements.
Experience
- Experience in environmental engineering or related science, preferably at a manufacturing operation.
- Basic knowledge of the automotive manufacturing processes is preferred.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree with a major in engineering or related sciences with emphasis on environmental engineering required.
- CHMM certification, PE License or CEP certification preferred
