Title: Graphic Designer
Job description:
The Guidewire corporate marketing team is looking for a creative Graphic Designer with up-to-date knowledge to interpret our clients’ needs and to design solutions with high visual impact.
Reporting directly to the Director of Marketing Communications, you will help create beautiful, integrated, and effective designs for the Guidewire brand. We are ideally looking for someone with a strong background in graphic and web design with a solid working knowledge of execution and development in a dynamic, deadline-driven working environment. You’ll also work with different departments and individuals to help clearly articulate marketing tactics.
Responsibilities:
Design, produce, and update printed and digital marketing collateral such as brochures, data sheets and white papers (in both InDesign and Microsoft Word), web banners, PowerPoint presentations, web graphics, website mockups and wireframes, landing page templates, and event booth graphics and materials
Apply industry best practices to assignments, follow brand guidelines, and keep all marketing consistent across multiple platforms such as website, events, email, and advertising
Support the marketing team and collaborate cross-functionally with sales, presales, alliances, and product marketing teams to meet goals and project deadlines
Translate business and marketing objectives into designs that are clear, compelling, and visually engaging
Undertake updates to multiple external web properties
Advise on UI/UX best practices for site enhancements, landing pages, and email templates
Create mockups and wireframes for proposed design changes
Requirements:
5+ years of professional graphic design experience and web design, preferably with a marketing or creative agency
Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office (primarily PowerPoint and Word), and Keynote
Foundational knowledge of Drupal and other content management systems
Knowledge of digital optimization across screen sizes and devices
Ability to present concepts and designs to stakeholders in a clear, concise manner, and manage project feedback and flow
Knowledge of CSS, HTML 5, responsive and mobile design principles
Proven ability to work independently and manage a workload of multiple design projects simultaneously to meet deadlines efficiently
Must provide resume and portfolio with examples of responsive web, email, print, packaging, and creative branding work
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art Design, Graphic Design, or related discipline
Bonus Points:
Experience in After Effects and video editing software
UI / UX Experience
Experience with photography
Experience using Marketo or other marketing automation solutions
