Group Description

The Fixed Income Investment Technology (FIIT) team provides decision support software for the fixed income investment (portfolio management, trading, and research) teams as well as operational support for operations, client services, legal, and third-party users of our proprietary application. This includes developing software to:

  • Analyze securities using fundamental and quantitative analysis
  • Help portfolio managers monitor their portfolios by allowing them to slice and dice analytics and position data either at the security, sector, or portfolio level
  • Assist the APMs in creating orders, run compliance, and clear trades
  • Execute and book credit derivatives
  • Implement in-house Fixed Income quantitative research visions and models.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a Nashville based Sentinel Business Analyst to join our Sentinel IT team in Fixed Income Investment Technology group

Describe the role:

The Business Analyst acts as a liaison between investment compliance team and the technology teams (vendor and internal IT teams) providing business analyst support to develop technology solutions that support business goals and initiatives.

Describe the applications and business or enterprise functions the role supports:

The candidate will be primarily responsible for supporting Compliance Guideline Monitoring group of AllianceBernstein with any production issues, enhancements and system upgrades related to Sentinel compliance system. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for support and enhancements of internal applications used by Compliance team working closely with the internal technology teams.

The key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Primarily responsible for supporting buy-side compliance analysts using Fidessa LatentZero Sentinel as compliance system
  • Provide day-to-day application support for compliance userbase globally
  • Work with Compliance Analysts and other investment professionals in defining and documenting system requirements in order to improve processes and overall user experience
  • Partner with vendor and development teams in design and development of enhancements and new applications to automate workflows
  • Perform application functional and integration testing, create test cases and conduct UAT
  • Conduct user training sessions

Qualifications

Qualifications, Experience, Education:

  • B.S. or higher in Computer Science (or related field)
  • 5 or more years of experience configuring, testing, and supporting Fidessa LatentZero Sentinel application is mandatory
  • Prior experience working as a Business Analyst for investment and compliance applications from a Buy Side perspective including eliciting and documenting user requirements, vendor relationship management, application testing and configuration planning, and implementing product rollout
  • Proficient in SQL
  • Knowledge of Fixed Income, Derivatives and Equities instruments
  • Proven ability to multi-task and successfully execute complex application rollouts

  • Should be able to take ownership of small to medium scale projects and have strong client focus
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Self-starter and a good team player
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with competing priorities

Special Knowledge (if applicable):

  • Knowledge of Fidessa LatentZero Sentinel application is a must
