Financial Analyst- Financial Reporting Analysis - Full-Time, Day - Seton Administrative Offices - Austin, TX

Location: Seton Administrative Offices

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

What You Will Do

As a Financial Analyst with Seton Family of Hospitals-TX, you will have the opportunity to perform analysis and reporting regarding financial operations and information. This role is a balance between crunching numbers and healthcare. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a lot of operation leadership and partner with the legal department. Our team is responsible with two big committees and we report to a strong leadership team whom enjoys growing our strong talented team members. Our team works on special projects including market data and surveys across the network. This role provides a strong foundation and competitive and interesting candidate background.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs statistical, cost and financial analysis of data extracted from various internal sources. Prepares reports based on findings, including health care costs, provider contracts, debt capacity, revenue and profitability.
  • Assists with budget preparation and financial planning processes. Assists with budget review for compliance and identification of cost-saving opportunities.
  • Serves as consultant to all levels of management to provide decision support for initiatives, policies and procedures.
  • Performs special projects and duties as assigned, including research, forecasting and exploring viable alternatives.
  • Assists with all accounting, financial reporting, portfolio reporting and valuation activities.
  • Reviews financial statements for compliance with GAAP and other internal policies.
  • Loads final budget spreads into applicable systems and performing required reconciliations.

What You Will Need

Education:

  • Diploma
  • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree required
  • Financial/ Accounting degree preferred.
  • Master's in Financial or Healthcare Administration plus

Work Experience:

  • 1 plus years of finance experience preferred
  • Analyst, budget, month end close, reconciliations, contracts, calculations experience preferred.
  • None required.
