Job Description
On April 1, 2020, Rubicon Project and Telaria, Inc. merged to create one company. The combined company will rebrand as one in the coming months. In the interim, each company will operate under its existing brand name. The ticker symbol for the combined public entity will remain NYSE: RUBI.
The Account Director at Rubicon Project plays a key role in ensuring the overall success of the company. The Account Director is effectively the general manager of a defined book of business and has top line revenue responsibility. The AD is ultimately responsible for ensuring Rubicon Project exceeds our Publisher’s expectations in delivering on our core value propositions: making them money, protecting their brand, and saving them time. This role will be based in Berlin and report to the Head of Seller Accounts, Northern Europe.
What you will be doing
- Provide end-to-end customer service for all client needs including regular performance reviews on weekly, monthly and quarterly basis for top tier clients
- Work side-by-side with the global Seller teams for top tier Publishers with an international foot print to ensure internal and external global stakeholder alignment (knowledge sharing, collaboration, product roll out co-ordination etc.)
- Liaise globally with Ad Ops, Demand, Legal, Sales & Finance teams to ensure quick resolution of any issues
- Analyse and effectively communicate client program results vs. eCPM goals, based on inventory performance and reporting data
- Manage general and specialised client requests; including site/zone set up, billing inquiries, contractual amendments, account requests, and feature/product enhancement requests from new and existing clients
- Contribute to internal product development planning
- Work side-by-side with the business development team to pursue new business opportunities and manage existing publisher relationships
- Assist the business development team in communicating the company's value proposition to new clients and large strategic accounts
What we are looking for
- 5+ years of experience managing internet advertising accounts (e.g. working for an SSP, large web publisher, or buy-side Trading Desk looking for a new challenge)
- Strong understanding of Internet advertising (account set up, inventory and tag management, click reconciliation, etc) and also programmatic is a must
- Self-starter and demonstrated track-record of executing a project through to successful completion
- Outstanding computer skills including solid competency on MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint, Saleforce.com, and Google Drive (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
- Must be fluent in German and have good command of the English language. Any additional languages are a plus.
