About the team you will be on...

AgilOne, a subsidiary of Acquia, is a Customer Data and Engagement Hub that provides enterprise consumer marketers the power to integrate customer data across digital, physical, and mobile channels, deliver customer analytics with predictive insights and 360-degree profiles, and engage customers at every touch point in order to maximize lifetime value. Currently, the AgilOne solution supports more than 150 brands worldwide. AgilOne leverages the latest technologies in big data, machine learning and data quality management to deliver an enterprise-grade, scalable and high performance tool for customers such as Tumi, Lululemon, Lilly Pulitzer and David’s Tea.

As the QA Manager (AgilOne), you will...

  • Own the quality of every release that goes into production
  • Design, implement and execute manual and automated test cases
  • Help establish quality metrics for QA team and help the team reach the goals
  • Document and enforce best practices in both the test and development teams
  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable and maintainable automated-testing frameworks; select best tools; and own responsibility for overall test strategy and implementation
  • Develop code, scripts and utilities for use by the Test Automation team
  • Mentor QA engineers on your team

You’ll enjoy this role if you...

  • Have a proven track record and passion in leading a QA team.
  • Have owned end-to-end test plans, test framework/architecture and test execution.
  • Have led initiatives/projects and mentored junior QA engineers.

What you’ll need to be successful...

  • 2+ years experience in managing a QA team.
  • 5+ years experience in Big Data testing (eg pipelines and/or ETL processes) including expertise in but not limited to Hive, Yarn, MapReduce, Kafka, Spark, Oozie, Cloudera Hadoop (CDH) and Impala.
  • Experience designing test automation in continuous integration/deployment environment
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and API test automation
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with Relational Databases (e.g. Oracle, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases (eg HBase, MongoDB)
  • Effective communication and critiquing skill

Extra credit if you...

  • Demonstrated expertise in at least one typed language like Java and ability to code full time in this language
  • Deep experience using testing and scripting tools such as JMeter, JUnit, TestNG, Selenium, Jenkins
