Overview
Journi Sales Operations Analyst
Portland, OR
Responsible for leading and managing internal sales support through the development of processes, identification of technology and data needs involved in optimizing operational support for Journi’s sales. Provides Sales support and acts as the bridge between Sales and internal functional teams throughout the sales process.

Minimum Requirements Competencies and Knowledge:
- Ability to lead cross–functional teams from multiple disciplines (i.e. Sales, Product, Operations, Legal, Finance, etc.).
- Demonstrates building effective working relationships with multiple stakeholders from leadership and individual contributors.
- Ability to lead the organization, planning, prioritization and execution of multiple deliverables, simultaneously, within time constraints.
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
- Demonstrated experience in recognizing problems and effectively resolving complex issues.
- Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of Sales and Marketing guidelines.
- Ability to create and manage operation and sales processes flow.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects and/or group activities simultaneously.
- Ability to facilitate discussions internally or externally to manage questions, issues or finalize decisions specific to the Sales or Account Management lifecycles.
- Demonstrated ability to use MS Office products and other corporate software.
- Experience with Client Relationship Management tools, ideally Salesforce, is preferred. Demonstrates organizational and administrative skills necessary to plan and delegate sales trainings, as needed. Demonstrates proficient skills and abilities in the creation and proposal design of Requests for Proposals. Strong relationship and leadership skills to effectively motivate and inspire co-workers.
Normally to be proficient in the competencies listed above:
- Sales Operations Analyst would have a bachelor’s degree in Business or related field and 5-7 years of experience in operations, sales and/or sales support or equivalent combination of education and experience.
General Functions & Outcomes:
- Responsible for all activities related to sales operations for new and renewing Journi accounts. Works closely with the Sales and Account Executives and acts as the liaison between Operations, Sales and other internal departments.
- The role interacts with various levels of management in all divisions and departments to support the overall sales and growth goals of the corporation.
- Requests necessary legal documents pertaining to a new offering or renewal and is responsible for the appropriateness of the material submitted. Documents such as: Master Services Agreement (MSA), Business Associate Agreement (BAA), Scope of Services Form, Data Extract Agreement (DEA), and Amendments to Contracts. Review of draft materials for accuracy is required as well as coordination of appropriate responses during the contracting process.
- Responsible for supporting sales cycles from beginning to end and working directly with other departments to assist with questions and/or issues.
- Responsible for ensuring the aggregation of prospect and customer feedback provided throughout the employer lifecycle.
- Organizes and manages resolutions of issues as they relate to day-to-day operations of current customers, benefit customization, product features and updates, billing and payment questions, eligibility questions, etc.
- Handles technical issues as needed relating to system issues, process & procedure clarifications, and communication to sales team.
- Responsible for detailed review, creation and preparation of Request for Proposals (RFP) submitted by Employer or Payor clients. Handles the oversight of the assignment, distribution of duties and tracking of the inquiries that pertain to the proposal. Develops documents as needed. Assembles final documents in the required format for submission. Preparation and/or packaging of the final presentation, whether for a new group or renewal group, in an on-line PDF portfolio and/or in a binder format for distribution via the sales consultant.
- Provides process improvement consultation, facilitation and management for targeted projects including defining customer requirements, identifying systems improvements, and recommending actions.
- Manages the training and communication to the Sales and support teams as they pertain to product and services offered by Journi.
- Acts as a resource for other staff within the department and assists with process questions specific to the assigned duties and handles the training of new employees or new process training for the department.
- Creates and documents new processes and process improvements.
- Assumes a leadership role in identifying areas of improvement Journi operations as they pertain to the account management and sales operations processes.
Work Environment:
- No unusual working conditions.
- Work primarily performed in an office environment.
- May be required to work outside of normal hours.
- Travel may be required, locally or out of state.
