Position overview:

• Certified Nursing Assistant
• Full time, benefit eligible (Three 12-hour shifts per week)
• Day shift (7A-7:30P). Every third weekend and every other holiday rotation required.
• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credentialed by the state of Maryland and have Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association to be considered.

What You Will Do

While patients are with us some require more supervision for their safety than others. For example, there are patients who are at risk of hurting themselves; those that have a diagnosis like dementia, right sided stroke, or others that may cause confusion; patients that are fall risks; and others who need someone there always for their safety. In these cases, in addition to our regular clinical team of Patient Care Technicians and Nurses we have a Certified Nursing Assistant assigned to be responsible for their care on a one on one basis.

This role is much more than just a companion or Patient Sitter as these CNAs provide for all the activities of daily living for the patient such as bathing, feeding, walking, and the like. Our regular clinical team still provides care such as taking vitals, finger-sticks, etc. but you are the one who is there with them constantly and therefore play a crucial role in their care.

This specific opening is on day shift (7A-7:30P) working three 12-hour shifts per week with weekend and holiday rotation. What You Will Need

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credentialed from the Maryland Board of Nursing prior to hire or transfer date required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association prior to hire or transfer date required.
• At least one year of experience as a CNA in a hospital or similar health care setting strongly preferred.
• Prior experience with patients who require constant supervision for their safety strongly preferred.
• Stable work history strongly preferred.
