Job summary

The Red Hat Customer Experience and Engagement (CEE) team is looking for an Associate Technical Support Engineer to join us in Seoul, South Korea. In this role, you will serve as an expert on Red Hat’s technologies including Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and our storage and cloud solutions and provide technical support primarily via phone and email. You'll perform basic investigation and troubleshooting to resolve difficult customer issues.

Primary job responsibilities

• Provide exceptional technical support to Red Hat’s enterprise customers
• Investigate problems and customer issues and find and develop solutions
• Consult with in-house engineers and developers to promote creative solutions and improve customer satisfaction
• Contribute to the global Red Hat knowledge management system
• Work with our customers across the globe on a 24/7 basis

Required skills

• 2-5 years of experience with Linux for the enterprise sector
• Excellent administration skills
• Thorough knowledge of Linux kernel, networking, and memory management
• Excellent troubleshooting skills; passion for problem solving and investigation
• Ability to work with conflicting priorities, take initiative, and maintain focus on customers
• Willingness to work in shifts
