Manager Medicare Sales

Seattle, Washington

The Manager of Medicare Sales will lead sales force to achieve membership and financial goals for Medicare product line. Establishes and maintains group and producer relationships.

Responsibilities & Requirements

Comeptencies and Knowledge:

  • Ability to manage a sales team that generates new business leads by training, motivating and entertaining producers, community grass roots development of key stakeholders, holding seminars and conducting one-on-one sales appointments.

  • Ability in developing strong customer and broker relationships to support staff in negotiations of new business opportunities.
  • Continuously looks for new and/or non-traditional ideas, approaches and available resources to improve problem solving.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships within the organization to assist the team in understanding and utilizing the resources available and to encourage growth and member retention.
  • Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of local, regional, and national markets and pricing trends.
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of customer relationship management systems.
  • Demonstrates advanced verbal/listening skills by appropriately communicating sensitive and/or confidential information to supervisors, co-workers, customers and other external audiences

Normally to be proficient in the competencies listed above:

  • Manager Medicare Sales would have a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business or related field and 6 years of experience in group or individual health sales, including 3 years experience in a Medicare related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Licenses, Certifications, Registration, Etc.

  • Must be currently licensed, or become licensed within 60 days of hire, to sell insurance (health, life and/or disability) in the state or states where business is conducted. Maintain annual Medicare sales certification.
