Medical Assistant

As our Medical Assistant (MA), you will be “the key to the medical office.” You will integrate your administrative and clinical skills to ensure patients’ healthcare needs are met by providing support to the healthcare team for Sacred Heart’s busy OBGYN office in Pensacola, Florida.

If you love a close-knit team environment and the ability to think and make decisions, this is a great opportunity! Our ideal candidate would have experience in Women’s Health and a strong medical assistance background. As long as you have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn, we can train you on any necessary OBGYN skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with treatments ordered by physician as supervised by physician or registered nurse.
• Perform select clinical duties.
• Interview patients, measures vital signs, and records information on patients' charts.
• Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients.
• Perform basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing.
• Perform basic materials management functions to include ordering and stocking of supplies.

What You Need:

Education, Licensure and Work Experience:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program (preferred MA credentials through American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA).

Strongly Preferred:

• Experience in a physician's office or clinic highly preferred.
• OBGYN experience highly preferred.
• High level customer service.
