Job Summary
Techstars is looking for a Program Director (PD) who will lead a Techstars Ecosystem Development Program in Taipei, Taiwan. The role is an integral part of the Techstars Ecosystem Development team, working closely with the Executive Director (ED), local stakeholders as well as the staff at ITRI/TTA (our local agent and partner).
The Taipei Program Director (PD) has direct accountability to execute the plans and programs outlined to accelerate the growth of the Taipei ecosystem. Working alongside the Taipei Executive Director (ED) and the Techstars Ecosystem Development team, the Program Director will put into action the concepts to drive progress. This is an incredible opportunity for an organized, passionate team player to excel. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work alongside and partner with the ED to creatively cultivate a healthy and growing startup ecosystem
• Advance, inspire and encourage the entrepreneurial spirit throughout the community through your daily actions
• Setup and support a robust mentorship network, connecting startups to resources both inside Taipei and outside the region (leveraging the Techstars mentor network)
• Function with humility and integrity, for no task is to be above or below you
• Comfortable marketing and encouraging participant interest for unique programs, projects or events
• Co-develop metrics and track success/performance in advancing the startup ecosystem
• Lead project/event post-mortems, assessing impact and outcomes
• Co-author internal reports and updates to Techstars and ITRI/TTA
• Coordinate, communicate, engage with and help form a living network of entrepreneurs, investors, ecosystem partners, mentors, corporate sponsors, university leaders, ITRI/TTA and TechStars team members and any other actor that plays a role in the startup ecosystem
• Build meaningful connections with and sources feedback from community (in person, digital, events)

Qualifications:

• 5+ years experience in fast-paced environments in some combination of technology, scaling startups, entrepreneurship/intrapreneurship and/or venture capital
• A genuine citizen with an authentic personality, original ideas and a track record of such
• Relevant program/project management experience in fast paced environment
• Great communication and organizational skills
• An inclusive personality
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders and a variety of teams
• Impeccable written and spoken English
• Mandarin Chinese (fluent)
• A magnetic personality
