Position Purpose
Front End Developer - Responsible for coding front end website experiences that optimize the customer shopping experience and drive improvements in conversion, revenue, engagement, and other success metrics.
The ideal candidate for this position has experience with front end web development in an ecommerce environment, as well as familiarity with A/B testing and personalization platforms. This role will also serve as a liaison between Product management and UI/UX.
The incumbent must be able to perform all of the following duties and responsibilities with or without a reasonable accommodation.Develops the experiences that drive growth in key performance metrics across the website using HTML, CSS, JQuery, and JavaScript.
- Performs QA across browsers and devices to ensure all optimization experiences function in all supported environments.
- Knowledge and experience in optimizing site load times
- A/B testing
- Experience with accessibility (WCAG)
- Good understanding of overall web design including basic usability, accessibility, industry standards, architecture, and navigation. Close partnership with the UI/UX design team. Has an eye on accurately interpreting design comps.
- Bridge gap of design comp to development
- Collaborates with cross-functional partners in the IT organization to ensure effective communication, develop experiences that can be efficiently translated from testing in the optimization platform to production, and understand and optimize impact of testing activities to site speed and performance
- Leverages Development and Site Performance Best practices and industry standards.
- Interacts professionally and effectively through verbal and written communication with all professional contacts with emphasis on company interests. Communicates technical information effectively to non-technical audiences.
- Performs other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required, assigned and directed.
