Vlocity is looking for a design-savvy product leader to manage the Channel, Network, Care, & Formulary Management parts of the Vlocity Health suite of capabilities.

Vlocity’s Health framework includes Channel, Network, Care, & Formulary Management applications - all of which can be configured without code and all of which run on the Salesforce platform. Our technology allows carriers to deliver complex network and formulary arrangements that are aligned to products across multiple product categories and lines of business - through a common platform, and without the slow pace of custom development.

As a product manager, you'll re-envision the slow, laborious processes that issuers use to set-up new producers and providers, and turn the arduous task of credentialing, contracting, and appointment into a streamlined digital experience.

You’ll build a suite of apps that tie member medications into the sales and services mechanisms of a health plan (a toolset similar to Destination Rx) into the Vlocity suite of applications. You’ll also use Vlocity’s tooling to extend the capability set of Salesforce’s Health Cloud for Payers for business work flows like pre-authorization, drug utilization, and care management.

This position reports to the VP & General Manager, Vlocity Health & Health Insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with solution architects and partner technical teams to define the solution architecture required to implement best practice cases. Document requirements for required Vlocity product changes or data model extensions. Work with our implementation experts to develop delivery assets (e.g. presentations, white papers, technical guides) to support Vlocity service teams and partners in strategic delivery projects
  • Lead stand-up meetings with design and engineering teams as required that incorporate Agile product development techniques. Work with design and engineering teams to plan, organize and deliver product releases on-time. This includes product specifications, QA test plans, and release documentation
  • Work closely with client services to understand customer needs. You will be embedded as needed to do architectural and UI reviews and gather complex feedback and will manage communications with the customer team for the design and status of any product enhancements that stem from customer implementations
  • Become a deep expert on Salesforce/Salesforce Community functionality. The more you know about how Salesforce works and where its limits are, the more effective you are at creating specs for features that are built on Salesforce
  • Research competitive product offerings and identify ways to differentiate our solution. Create compelling product demonstrations and useful collateral

  • You have a knack for making the complex simple.
  • You strive to eliminate the extra steps and controls that overload most applications.
  • You have excellent design judgment, and often designs features themselves.
  • You are well versed in modern software development processes.
  • You are attuned to user experience patterns in the market.
  • You are always seeks to bring innovative new features to our platform.
  • You'll be capable of ‘doing the math’ in calculating a premium and setting up rating.
  • You deliver excellence in presentations and compelling product demonstrations.
  • You are a highly effective communicator, and have excellent customer interaction skills.

Desired Qualifications

  • Success as a Product Owner in an agile development process
  • Track record of bringing multiple quality products to market or into production.
  • Stellar academic background (Bachelor or equivalent required, MBA preferred)
  • 5+ years of professional experience, including 5 years with health/insurance applications
  • Excellent design skills - both UX and visual
  • Technical chops to take declarative tools and build solutions
  • A deep understanding of Salesforce
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Highly organized and can work independently and with a team
  • Enjoys the challenges and opportunities of a startup, and thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Has a track record of success at a software vendor, system integrator or IT shop
  • Experience working at or with large health insurance companies
  • US Work Permit Required
