Supervisor Clinical Intake & Correspondence

Lewiston, ID; Seattle, WA; Burlington, WA; Salt Lake City, UT; Medford, OR; Tacoma WA; Portland, OR

  • Supervise and acts as a resource for non-clinical staff.
  • Coordinate activities that support business objectives related to Utilization Management, Case management, Disease Management.
  • Ensure quality and timely requirements are met in accordance with accrediting agency requirements, contract requirements, and state and federal regulations.

Responsibilities & Requirements

  • Ability to listen and communicate effectively, verbally and in writing with internal staff and with members, employer or provider groups.
  • Ability to effectively develop, lead, and manage teams that work in multiple locations and via telecommuting technology.
  • Familiarity with health insurance industry trends and technology.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills, ability to use data to identify problems, trends; develop solutions and implement a course of action.
  • Demonstrated competency in setting priorities for a team and overseeing work outputs and timelines.
  • Demonstrated experience in recognizing problems and effectively resolving complex issues.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office, i.e. Word, Excel and experience using healthcare systems.
  • Knowledge of applicable State and Federal regulations and mandates.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology

Normally to be proficient in the competencies listed above:

  • Supervisor Clinical Intake and Correspondence would a bachelor’s degree, 3 years leadership experience and 5 years of customer service, claims processing or membership experience, preferably in the health care industry or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
