Job Description

Medscape, a division of WebMD, develops and hosts physician portals and related mobile applications that make it easier for physicians and healthcare professionals to access clinical reference sources, stay abreast of the latest clinical information, learn about new treatment options, earn continuing medical education credits and communicate with peers.

WebMD Helios platform is the secret sauce that runs all of WebMD backed by a Apache SOLR Search engine, Kubernetes/Docker Container orchestration. Interns will work on developing components for this platform using JavaScript or C# either front end or back end depending upon interest and skills

Intern - Software Development

Responsibilities

• Work on developing applications using NodeJS/C# for WebMD's Consumer Helios platform
• Participate as part of Agile team in developing solution, writing code using JavaScript or C# running on NodeJS either client side or server side or .Net Core

Qualifications:

Required:

• Minimum 3.2 GPA
• Enrolled in Undergrad or Graduate program and returning for the Fall 2020 semester.
• Clear fundamentals for Data structures, algorithms, OOPS, Software Engineering (must be cited on resume)
• Familiarity with at least one programming language

Preferred:

• Familiarity with source control and build tools like GIT, Jenkins, NPM, Grunt
• Knowledge/ Experience working with REST APIs
