Summary
Provides leadership, management and technical consultation to facilities employees and contractors in support of facilities and utilities maintenance, related projects, contracts and ongoing operations at the Tempel Lane, 26 Tech Valley and One Global View locations.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Manages and leads multiple Facilities Teams responsible for maintaining and operating the following:o Plant utilities, e.g. boilerso Clean utilities systems, e.g. Water-For-Injection (WFI), Clean Steamo HVAC systems for qualified cleanrooms, laboratories as well as general office environmentso Controlled Temperature Units, e.g. refrigerators, freezers, liquid nitrogen systems
• Manages and develops direct reports at multiple levels, including Managers, Supervisors and Facilities Technicians.
• Establishes Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Facilities Operations and measures/reports on improvement over time, including presentations to Technical Operations Senior Management and Site Leadership.
• Collaborates with Quality Assurance (QA) and other cross-functional representatives to support deviation investigations associated with utility systems.
• Presents to auditors during regulatory inspections, supporting any tours and information requests associated with facilities and utilities systems.
• Responsible for the creation and approval of applicable SOPs, Work Instructions (WIs) and other technical documents related to Facilities operations and associated utility systems.
• Coordinates equipment improvements and modifications with original equipment manufacturers. Works with Engineering, QA Compliance and QA Validation to ensure adherence to site change control procedures when implementing changes to equipment.
• Responsible for all aspects of planning and executing Facilities projects, with consideration for GMP regulatory compliance and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) policies.
• Establishes all required preventive maintenance plans utilizing the Blue Mountain Regulatory Asset Manager (BMRAM) System. Ensures preventive maintenance work plans are current, accurate, written with sufficient detail, and are executed at the proper frequency.
• Collaborates with Manufacturing Management and the Manufacturing Scheduling Team to coordinate maintenance work in accordance with prescribed timeframes and frequencies.
• Develops and implements continuous improvement ideas and suggestions.
• Responsible for the appearance, cleanliness and inspection readiness of all Facilities areas under supervision.
• Owns and executes corrective and preventative actions (CAPAs).

Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or other technical discipline and minimum of 8 years of engineering, maintenance, manufacturing and/or project management experience within the Pharmaceutical Industry or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a management/leadership role.
• Prior hands-on experience operating, commissioning and/or qualifying Pharmaceutical Utilities equipment is required.
