Job Description

Roku is looking for a Workplace Services Manager, who can help support Roku’s rapidly expanding Cambridge office. This engineering office develops new consumer products that contribute to Roku’s corporate vision of powering the world’s smart TVs. This role, working alongside our Regional Workplace Manager, to curate the workplace experience for our internal customers as well as represents Roku to external partners/vendors.

Duties include: -

  • Manage day-to-day workplace operations to ensure an efficient, supportive, and productive environment.
    • Including deliveries, security, catering, cleaning, maintenance services.
    • Provide oversight and responsibility for the workplace environment ensuring that all fixtures are in working order and workplace appearance is kept to standards.
    • Contract/Vendor management including audits, performance issues, supplier review meetings, purchasing and tendering
    • Manage and improve preventative maintenance programs to keep the workplace running efficiently.
    • Be part of the response team for emergency situations ranging from equipment failures to H&S incidents and building evacuations.
    • Ensure that the employee experience (including new hire inductions, reception, events and other key touch points) is optimized and improved on.
    • Support organization functions, events, and general meetings.
  • Budget management
  • Line manager of local workplace team.
  • Ensure the workplace is Health, Safety and Environment compliant.
  • Engage with the wider workplace team to ensure continuity and share best practice.
  • Flexible working and coverage of building needs outside normal working hours a key requirement.
  • Work with all departments and teams across the company (globally and locally) to ensure there is solid communication, effective project execution, collaboration of ideas and clear direction on company growth and needs.
  • Flexibility to travel to other Roku sites, as and when needed

Experience/Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience in workplace, facilities, fit out or related industry.
  • Proactive client focused experience.
  • Proven experience working in organizations experiencing growth.
  • Experienced people manager.
  • Proven success working well with people from diverse levels throughout an organization.
  • Ability to make prudent and sound decisions without direct supervision, when necessary.
  • Highly self-motivated, persistent, dependable, proactive and self-sufficient.
  • Ability to quickly assess situations, identify trends/gaps, develop insights and propose solutions.
  • Efficient team player that engages, supports, and encourages colleagues and drives toward a cooperative, cohesive team dynamic.
  • Ability to be flexible in a fast-paced environment balancing multiple tasks and changing priorities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
  • IOSH qualified.
  • Membership of IWFM (desirable).
  • Excellent spoken and written English is essential.
