SUMMARY

Hulu’s Finance team is seeking a Financial Analyst, Subscriber Growth who will be an exceptional addition to our Financial Planning and Analysis team. In this role, you will support Hulu’s business growth through driving an integrated understanding of our subscriber profitability and customer lifecycle, as well as become an expert in running a subscription-based business and drive leading-edge insight into its financial management and commercial growth. The right person for this role has proven experience supporting and driving executive decision making based on rigorous economic analysis, exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, is an outstanding communicator, and sets a high bar for him/herself. WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Work cross-functionally with key partners in Finance, Marketing, Research, Analytics and Product to develop business insights that uncover subscriber growth levers, improve profitability and opportunities to improve customer lifetime
• Support Hulu’s rapid business growth by establishing a thorough understanding of our subscriber economics and how they drive our overall business performance.
• Analyze potential deals with distribution and wholesale partners and formulate actionable recommendations on how to structure, price and close respective deals.
• Develop and present recommendations to senior management, informing Hulu’s commercial decision making.
• Independently identify and pursue areas of analysis that will offer insights and result in actionable recommendations.
• Build out and maintain subscriber forecast models and provide insight and commentary on monthly pacing as part of month-end close process
• Create and handle subscriber reporting, providing performance tracking and critical metrics to drive meaningful insight

WHAT TO BRING

• 1 - 3years of professional experience with proven success in the key responsibilities listed
• BA/BS degree in Finance, Economics, or similar discipline with an analytical bias
• Highly competent with MS Excel deal modeling and quantitative data analysis
• Shown critical thinker with exceptional analytical skills.
• Ability to translate deal proposals into deal model/financial output to drive decisions
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with and present to senior management

NICE-TO-HAVES

• Experience with emerging, high-growth companies in the entertainment, media, or technology space
• Knowledge of or experience working in a subscription business model
