Job summary

The Global Finance Consolidation Team within Red Hat Corporate Finance is looking for a Junior Financial Analyst to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will support the consolidations, reporting, and analysis functions within the team. You'll also gather, analyze, prepare, and summarize recommendations for business plans, reporting activity, trended future requirements, and operating forecasts. As a Junior Financial Analyst, you'll need to clearly communicate solutions to complex financial problems to cross-functional teams in multiple geographies.

Primary job responsibilities

• Assist in reviewing financial results at the end of each month and quarter
• Assist in providing explanations for variances of actual to budget and forecast as well as comparative quarters
• Analyze financial and operational performance and understand underlying trends and market factors
• Provide and communicate reports at strategic, operational, and organizational levels to management
• Engage in ad hoc projects as required to ensure financial requirements are met
• Develop an understanding of Red Hat’s global business model to identify financial trends and provide value-added analysis
• Coordinate with other global finance functions to consolidate data for reporting purposes

Required skills

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
• Motivated with a sense of personal accountability and excellent interpersonal skills
• Proven logical thinking and analytical skills
• Good written and verbal communication and presentation skills
• Working knowledge of Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite
• Proactive individual who demonstrates initiative in the delivery of tasks in a fast-paced environment
