Job Description BAE Systems Platforms and Services is seeking a Project Lead to support logistics efforts for the Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicle (AMPV) platform and other Combat Vehicle logistics efforts in Sterling Heights, MI.
Candidate will work with internal and external engineering and other stakeholders to determine/understand, track, and manage the impact of engineering design changes to logistics products. Candidate is also required to work directly with Engineering and Logistics stakeholders to recognize and communicate Logistics’ needs on engineering drawings and products in order to properly produce log products and meet customer requirements for CDRL deliveries. When required, the candidate will submit Problem Reports (PR) to detail and request corrections to engineering products. Additionally, the candidate will be an essential part of the maintenance and commonality team and will identify and manage opportunities to promote commonality across CV Platform’s products.
Candidate will advise Log Management, applying previous log and engineering experience, lessons learned and knowledge of Logistics and/or Engineering work, program actions, and events to improve the technical quality of the AMPV Program logistics products. The person in this position will be expected to attend and/or generate internal/external meetings to discuss and provide input/guidance/take action regarding alignment of Logistics’ requirements to engineering data. Candidate will be expected to track/report outcomes of meetings and discussions, both internal and external.
Required Skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Experience working within an engineering environment, working with engineering drawings and models, and associated viewing tools.
  • Experience working with MS Excel and complex spreadsheets.
  • Experience working in CREO.
  • Experience with Mil-Std 40051-1/2, MIL-HDBK-1222, MIL-PRF-63002, MIL-STD-38784, MIL-STD-1388B, GEIA-STD-0007 and how they relate to Technical Manuals.
  • Understanding of Provisioning, Source, Maintenance, and Recoverability Codes, and RPSTLs.
  • Understanding of Maintenance Allocation Charts (MAC), Mil-Std MAC requirements, and how provisioning and maintenance functions relate.
  • Understanding of Army Two-Level Maintenance.
  • Experience with working across multiple platforms and functional areas simultaneously.

Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Bradley Family of Vehicles (Bradley FoV)
  • Use of Content Management Systems (CMS)
  • Experience working with SharePoint and Enterprise Product Data Management.
  • Understanding of SLIC Wave and the SLIC Wave database or PowerLogJ
  • Familiarity with Extensible Markup Language (XML)
