Work directly with the Veradigm leadership team to develop and align the company’s innovative data, analytics and clinical workflow solutions with the needs of Life Sciences and Payer organizations, providing the clinical vision, strategy and oversight.

Responsibilities
Overall accountability for clinical product vision, oversight and excellence at Veradigm. The position is 50% outward facing, engaging effectively with clients, strategic partners, and industry thought leaders. Internal focus is targeted at defining the product vision from a clinical perspective, improving user workflow experience, leading clinical excellence in data content and analytic output and helping to build a strong clinical team.
- Primary responsibility is protecting the safety of patients
- Leads the product vision from a clinical perspective. Works with clients, strategic partners, market thought leaders and internal stakeholders to define the product vision and clinical direction for our data, analytic, and clinical workflow products. Focuses on information rich, connected solutions for life sciences researchers and payers
- Provides clinical oversight for developing clinical content of Veradigm’s de-identified patient data and analytic solutions
- Helps improve the user experience for the point of care solutions facing Life Sciences clients (registries, Clinical Decision Support, point-of-care research)
- Works directly with the legal, privacy and compliance teams to help ensure Veradigm products comply with all appropriate healthcare and research regulations.
- Provides leadership for the Veradigm clinicians. Works with internal clinicians and HR to promote ongoing professional development and education. Goal is to develop a strong, cohesive clinical group and optimize clinical input into all aspects of the Veradigm business.
- Leads Veradigm’s clinical strategy. Collaborates with Veradigm executives on issues involving clinical strategy and represents market and client clinical perspectives with executive leadership
- Participates in client engagement activities and advisory boards. The goal is to engage clients strategically, building strong internal advocates/champions and providing external perspective for solution development
- Provides industry/market thought leadership. Represents Veradigm to the industry and provides guidance to the company on the trends and developments focused on the intersection of care and life sciences research.
People Management
- Identify and recruit internal/external talents to ensure effective mix of competencies
- Induct new joiners in order to quickly maximize performance
- Set and communicate team/individual objectives and KPI to inspire individuals to achieve high performance
- Allocate work load to fully utilize every employee’s talent
- Implement development plans and coach for individuals to reach their maximum talent
- Provide regular constructive feedback on performance/development and address poor/mediocre performance on a timely manner
- Recognize high performers to maintain motivation and retain key talent
- Regularly communicate on company news and team progress against business plan
- Create team spirit
Qualifications
Academic and Professional Qualifications
- MD or DO with minimum 5 years hands-on experience in direct patient care
- Professional development courses in health care management, medical informatics and/or MPH, MHS, MBA, or MS in health administration or closely related degree is preferred
Experience
- 10+ years experience in Health Information Technology, strongly preferred
- 5+ years experience in life sciences research with a focus on the use of real-world patient data for research and analysis
- 5+ years experience in similar industry role preferred (CCO/CMO/CMIO/VP Informatics)
- Experience working with health informatics standards and standards organizations
- Experience developing innovative software solutions at the point of care
- Is a contemporary clinician with business acumen, who understands major trends inThis healthcare and life sciences research, and is familiar with point of care products and medical informatics trends and tools
- Demonstrated passion for excellence, innovation and integrity
- Demonstrated life sciences and industry leadership experience
- Possesses good grasp of the research regulatory environment
- Clear, effective verbal and written communication skills required
- Resourcefulness and ability to take the initiative in the development and completion of work projects
- Ability to participate in, as well as promote, a matrixed-team environment
- Experience with global development teams preferred

Working Arrangements
Work is performed in a standard or remote office environment with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards. This associate will maintain regular working hours appropriate for the location and assignment.
