In this role, you have the opportunity to

You will have the opportunity to work with a very entrepreneurial venture organization and will drive programs for modification and improvement of launched products, in a portfolio of groundbreaking medical technology.

You are responsible to

  • Create, develop and execute the program to maintain our released products (Kodex, 3D mapping and navigation system); Ensure and maintain the required quality through adequate configuration management for product, documentation and process changes.
  • Pro-actively analyze quality data information from the installed base, manufacturing, suppliers and customers (including informal inputs from e.g. clinical). Define preventive measures from this analysis and executes these to assure the quality of delivered and installed products meet the relevant targets
  • Manage and resolve escalations in the field, by eg communicating with the physician, Field Clinical Specialists, and closing the loop
  • Continuously evaluating financial implications and business risks
  • Drive product realization and optimization process for released products
  • Manage technical 3rd line field support
  • Plan the staffing, budget and schedule with (cross-functional) internal and external business partners, and realize the agreed deliverables, product quality, timing within the budget
  • Work closely with Quality, Operations, Program Management and R&D Management to ensure all activities are properly prioritized and planned on the roadmap
  • Report to the EPD Management Team / Operational Leader on a regular base
  • Represent in Audits, Tier 3, CAPA review Board and Complaint Review Board
  • Manage and coach a small, growing team

You are a part of

Philips EPD Solutions, a recently acquired venture with ambitious plans for growth, developing a disruptive technology, which will improve the efficiency and efficacy of life-saving cardiac ablation procedures treating among others atrial fibrillation. EPD’s technology has the potential to address the key unmet need of real-time therapy assessment, which is one of the more significant limitations of the current standard of care. We aim to help to improve outcomes for millions of people and help maintain the rapidly rising cost of managing the disease. Having obtained CE mark and FDA approval in 2018, we are currently launching our first products in Europe, US and are preparing for other territories around the world. You will be based in Caesarea, Israel and report into the Operational Leader in the Netherlands.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelor or Masters degree in a technical domain
  • Strong quality mindset and excellent business acumen
  • Proven track record (10+ years) in product development and/or life cycle management of medical systems, and knowledge of international standards (ISO13485)
  • Solid understanding of software and hardware development processes
  • Proven experience in applying root cause analysis and problem solving methodologies (eg 8D)
  • Experience in leading/managing cross-functional project teams for at least 10 years
  • Great interpersonal, communication (verbal and written) and leadership skills
  • A natural born stakeholder manager, with demonstrated ability to effectively influence on all levels
  • Enthusiastic team player who is eager, goal-oriented, ambitious and self-propelling
  • Strong analytic and strategic skills, well structured, organized, focused and able to create transparency
