Job summary

The Red Hat Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) Sales team is looking for a strategic thinker and leader to join us as a Country Sales Manager for Czech Republic and Slovakia in Prague, Czech Republic. In this role, you will be responsible for generating growth through direct sales engagement and channel sales in the territory for our end-to-end portfolio of infrastructure software, as well as managing and growing a team of sales representatives. As you grow your team and increase its productivity, you will play an active role in developing strategic new business to achieve bookings targets. You'll also create sales training for your team to build their skills and establish an effective sales management process including visit planning, implementation, performance assessment, follow-up, and closing. As a Country Manager, you will build credibility with your team by generating substantial revenue through relationships with key executive customers and industry associations.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Identify, attract, develop, and retain talented people
  • Build a positive team culture with rewards and recognition that align associate focus with our company goals
  • Create sales training for your team to build their skills
  • Coach and mentor the team, empowering each associate to be more effective
  • Establish an effective sales management process for your team including visit planning, implementation, performance assessment, follow-up, and closing
  • Serve as an involved, strategic team leader who plays a sales support role in meetings to help your team succeed
  • Lead strategic initiatives in the region and deliver the corporate vision to all key audiences including customers, partners, and media
  • Build and maintain solid and long-lasting relationships with the executives within key strategic accounts and partner organizations
  • Work closely with the Marketing team, Customer Experience and Engagement (CEE) operations, and regional Services teams to develop a marketing and sales strategy for the region including value selling, bundled sales, and upsells
  • Report on projected revenue and team results
  • Engage executive leadership in creative solutions for achieving maximum revenue

Required skills

  • Extensive sales experience in enterprise infrastructure software; understanding of the direct and indirect sales cycles
  • Ability to serve as a role model for the associates while demonstrating a sense of urgency
  • Extensive experience managing a sales organization in the Czech Republic and Slovakia
  • Proven ability to transform a transactional sales model into a value-added sales model
  • Success implementing short-term and long-term focused strategies to grow revenue within a region
  • Extensive experience in senior, executive-level account relationship management; direct experience selling and marketing conceptual offerings or services to customers
  • Record of ownership over personal and team revenue targets, forecasting revenue accurately, and identifying critical sales pipeline indicators
  • Practical, pragmatic approach to problem-solving and business growth while evaluating and improving our sales and marketing efforts to meet changing conditions
  • Experience managing successful sales teams; solid process orientation and ability to inspire others
  • Fluent language skills in English and Czech; Slovak is a plus
