Job summary

The Red Hat Sales team is looking for an EMEA Senior Solutions Architect to join our Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) Solutions Practice in Dubai, UAE. In this role, you will cover the Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa region, working closely in the presales phase with Red Hat’s strategic customers and partners and guiding the adoption and integration of Red Hat’s solutions portfolio as the preferred choice for SAP S/4HANA and broader solutions. You’ll serve as a trusted advisor and primary technical point of contact for customers and partners who use and service Red Hat’s SAP solutions and you'll work with our account and product engineering teams to shape Red Hat’s future offerings. As an EMEA Senior Solutions Architect, you’ll need to have significant direct experience delivering major SAP infrastructure migration projects over on-premise, public, or hybrid cloud environments. You’ll apply your experience as a trusted advisor working with our customers directly or with our partners specializing in the design and deployment or migration of Red Hat SAP solutions.

Primary job responsibilities

• Collaborate with the SAP business development management (BDM), sales, and partners to position, guide, and win strategic SAP projects, incorporating Red Hat’s offerings and services
• Lead SAP-related presales engagement activities like customer discovery workshops, training, and mentoring with customers and partners to guide the adoption and integration of Red Hat’s solutions and services portfolios for SAP
• Serve as an EMEA subject matter expert on Red Hat’s solutions; provide information on how to automate the migration, deployment, operation, and management of SAP solutions via on-site, public cloud, or hybrid delivery models
• Establish and guide the extended EMEA SAP presales community within Red Hat and partners
• Share your expertise on the structuring of SAP migration journeys from a technical perspective; advise customers on best practices to follow to ensure low risk, predictable, on-time delivery
• Contribute to Red Hat's strategy and understanding of the SAP market
• Educate internal and external stakeholders in the latest SAP technology portfolio including SAP S/4HANA, Digital Core, Fiori, and Leonardo offerings, as well as the more traditional on-premise SAP R/3 solutions
• Identify gaps in Red Hat's offerings for customer and partner enablement; serve as a voice of the customer to ensure that these gaps are effectively addressed with supporting engineering and asset generation
• Support the EMEA and country level with demand generating activities like events, webinars, and publications
• Enable, coach, and mentor sales and presales teams in opportunity qualification and leading discovery sessions, specifically for application development and modernization

Required skills

• Consultant background serving as a trusted advisor
• Broad knowledge of the entire SAP platform at the system architecture level
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to adapt your messaging and content to various types and levels of audience
• Demonstrable expertise and experience in architecture, deployment, and operation of infrastructure components and systems relating to SAP deployments like database and relational database management systems (RDBMS), operating systems, and virtualization
• Presales experience with SAP implementation and migration projects
• Solid understanding of Red Hat technologies including Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Red Hat Virtualization, Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform, Red Hat OpenShift, and Red Hat Storage platforms
• Ability to work with teams across Red Hat consulting, sales, business, and engineering teams and to collaborate with other regional practice leads
• Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks and work proactively
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in English
• Willingness to travel between 50 to 75%
• Knowledge of SAP technologies like NetWeaver Application Server (ASCS), advanced business application programming (ABAP), Java Application Server, and SAP HANA database system architectures is a plus
