Job Description
We're looking for a Global Event Marketing Manager to join our team in downtown Oakland. This person will help to develop our event program strategy to support awareness, thought leadership and demand generation objectives via creative, strategic and quality events and experiences. They will run event management end-to-end, including planning and operations from pre to post. Events are a critical channel for the company as we continue to pioneer the category of feature management. Responsibilities:
- Develop event program strategy to support awareness objectives and demand generation via creative, strategic and quality events and experiences.
- Run event management end-to-end, including planning and operations from pre to post, identifying venues, vendor management, full project management, creative branding, logistics, sponsor integration, onsite management, internal communication, post-event evaluation, etc.
- Track and analyze key marketing metrics and event performance.
- Work alongside the Marketing team to deliver on the planning and execution of our annual conference Trajectory.
- Collaborate with event stakeholders to include Executives, Sales, Partnerships, Content and Community teams ensuring that their needs are met and goals achieved via events.
- Develop messaging, collateral, calls to action, interactive activities. Coordinate in advance with industry event managers and LaunchDarkly attendees and speakers.
- Gain a clear understanding of LaunchDarkly’s audience and how we can most effectively engage with them at events.
- Work with the BDR team to ensure timely, appropriate and effective follow up on events.
- Work closely with field marketing.
Basic Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience managing events, ideally in the technology industry
- Experience building and executing international event programs and managing vendors remotely
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing against multiple event-driven deadlines
- Able to seamlessly and effectively manage multiple vendors and contractors
- Timely and clear communication is key. Working with external communication with important speakers and sponsors
- Proven success producing and managing internal and external conference programs
- Understanding how to maximize attendee experience and engagement. Effectively combine messaging, campaigns, and activities to maximize our sponsorship presence at industry events
- Mastery of event financial models; ability to manage a budget and make the best decisions based on business goals
- Experience working with demand gen teams to help deliver leads and assess ROI of tradeshows and pipeline growth
- Willingness to travel to attend conferences and industry events
- Organized and detail-oriented
Preferred Qualifications:
- Event marketing experience in the technology space, specifically targeting developers, product management and c-suite.
- Experience running events that scaled beyond 1,000+ attendees.
- Experience producing webinars.
- Salesforce and Marketo
- Familiarity with software delivery or DevOps spaces
