OUR IMPACT

Goldman Sachs Fund Services Limited (GSAMFSL) is the newly appointed management company and global distributor of the GSAM Fund range. In this capacity, GSAMFSL appoints both GS affiliate sub-distributors and third party sub-distributors for the GS Funds. Based in London, Dublin, and Frankfurt, the European Shareholder Services team provides world class client service to investors in the GSAM Offshore Funds and assists the GSAM Sales force in their Global Funds distribution effort.

Within European Shareholder Services, the Distributor Onboarding & Oversight team is responsible for on-boarding and overseeing distribution partners appointed by GSAMFSL, in addition to the strategy and patterns of distribution for the GS Funds. The team interacts with key stakeholders across GSAM including Sales, Product Development, Portfolio Management, Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Operations on a broad range of functions carried out in relation to the distribution of GS Funds. This role will allow the candidate to gain a broad exposure to the workings of the GSAM Business and our external distribution partners. The candidate will be required to manage ongoing responsibilities with regard to the onboarding and lifecycle events for our distribution partners, in addition to driving the execution of key strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening our distribution oversight framework and improving our client service offering. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a newly created entity within Goldman Sachs, and be a key contributor as the entity looks to develop post it’s recent go-live.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

YOUR IMPACT

As part of the Distributor Onboarding & Oversight team the candidate will manage the end to end process of onboarding new distribution partners and shareholders, specialising in the coordination of complex, high profile, and strategically important relationships across multiple regions. The role will require strong attention to detail, self-motivation and pro-activity to deliver exceptional client service whilst adhering to regulatory and Compliance requirements. As an owner of the end to end onboarding process, the candidate will have the opportunity to identify inefficiencies and drive enhancements to improve client experience and ensure regulatory and compliance standards are met.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

  • Act as the subject matter expert for multiple Sales teams to drive successful onboarding and other lifecycle events for distribution partners appointed by GSAMFSL and GS Fund shareholders.
  • Understand the end to end onboarding process including KYC, AML, Due Diligence, Legal Agreements, fee terms, and operational processes
  • Develop a clear understanding of bespoke client requirements and offer guidance on what is supportable
  • Monitor processes and escalate to Compliance, Legal and Senior Management as appropriate
  • Maintain internal controls and quality checks for the day-to-day onboarding process
  • Ensure regulatory and Compliance requirements are met, and changes are assessed and successfully coordinated amongst appropriate teams
  • Review and maintain internal policies and procedures with a view to increasing controls and scalability, and the outsourcing of tasks to external vendors with appropriate controls and cost efficiencies
  • Research and identify inefficiencies and drive enhancements
  • Identify, develop and analyse reporting designed to monitor distribution activities and evaluate effectiveness
  • Produce regular MI and presentation materials, including reporting for GSAMFSL and GSAM Funds boards, and provide information for ad-hoc management requests

The candidate will be required to work with senior members of the division and cover day to day tasks relevant to the activities mentioned in the summary above.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Experience in the Asset Management industry and knowledge of Offshore Funds administration and Compliance standards
  • Familiarity with KYC, AML, CRS, Due Diligence, Legal Agreements and fee terms
  • Exceptional judgement, ability to grasp concepts quickly, and drive to resolve issues
  • Strong organizational, communication, time management, prioritisation, and analytical skills
  • Ability to develop strong relationships to lead coordination between various internal teams, clients, and external counterparties
  • Bachelor’s degree, 3+ years of relevant industry experience preferred
