Job Summary

• Work Location: Columbus, OH or Bellevue, WA

Work exclusively with clients, agents and producers to manage the Underwriting process from start to finish. Manage the communication and correspondence between field personnel, life underwriting vendors and life underwriting department. Proactively manage and monitor applications for life insurance throughout the underwriting process Essential Job Functions Search and match life underwriting requirements to case files. Approximately half of the received cases will be highly complex, invo lving complex underwriting requirements, which may necessitate extensive research, analysis, troubleshooting and solution design for our clients. Research and respond to inquiries about the underwriting process from field personnel or Life Underwriter. Educate and inform agents on Underwriting processes (proactively and reactively). Provide and promote best underwriting practices to field. Responsible for relationship management with field personnel, with particular emphasis placed on relationships with Advanced Markets clientele. Partner with agents, vendors and clients to streamline the Underwriting process. Independently assess, act on and resolve a variety of issues pertaining to the Underwriting process for our agents. Request life requirements from agents and/or venders as requested by Underwriter. Will be required to be highly efficient and proactive in managing case log and pending requirements. Must collaborate and extensively engage agents and underwriters to resolve outstanding underwriting issues and concerns. Review life applications for completeness. Will need to research and troubleshoot underwriting issues/problems/challenges, and analyze trends found. Move cases through the Underwriting process as efficiently and expeditiously as possible. Ensure life applications are closed after 60 days in underwriting. Anticipate Underwriting challenges while keeping a constant line of communication open with the agent and keeping the Underwriting process moving smoothly for our clients.
