Responsibilities
Design and provide guidance on technical development of execptional and consistent user experiences across proprietary Customer-facing digital channels (desktop, mobile, tablet, kiosk). Collaborate with digital strategists, product managers, and technology on interactive development projects.
WORK ACTIVITIES/CONTEXT:
- Designs impactful user experiences for Southwest Customer-facing digital channels, self-directed in executing through complex requirements
- Employs resources and optimizes work efficiently within scope of responsibility
- Initiates courses of action in line with Marketing strategy, drives forward and follows through against promised timelines
- Constructs hypotheses, seeks solutions and applies best practices in determining information structure, wireframes/prototypes, and user interactions in a manner that is simple and intuitive
- Communicates in a compelling and well thought-out manner in all types of interaction, creates a point of view, collaborates effectively, presents with poise and confidence
- Creates stimuli for usability studies and partners with 3rd party tools or agencies to field the tests
- Researches and maintains up to date knowledge of information architecture, user experience, web design, accessibility and usability trends. Serves as a mentor to infuse knowledge back to the working team.

Qualifications
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Degree in design or human-computer interaction preferred
WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 4 years experience in related field required
- OR minimum 2 years experience in a related field with an advanced degree
LICENSING/CERTIFICATION: N/A
PHYSICAL ABILITIES: N/A
SKILLS/ABILITIES/KNOWLEDGE/WORK STYLE:
- Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines.
- Must be proficient in a variety of design tools specializing in wire framing (ex: Axure, UX Pin, Visio, etc), visual design (ex: Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc), and prototyping (ex: Principle, Marvel, Invision, Adobe XD, etc)
- Experience working with development and understanding of HTML and CSS preferred
- Experience with JIRA, Microsoft Project, and/or Trello is preferred
- Communicates effectively by listening intently, questioning appropriately, and articulating clearly in both written and verbal formats
- Prioritizes effectively and hits promised timelines
- Delivers quality work within a low-cost environment
- Is a curious learner
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines.
- Must be able to meet any physical ability requirements listed on this description.
- May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders.
