Manager of Application Development

Location: 5800 Windward Pkwy., Alpharetta, GA 30005

ADP is hiring an Application Development Manager with proven experience in developing, executing and leading a variety of development initiatives focused on internal and client facing enterprise platforms that can be repeatable, reusable, extensible and scalable across the organization. This person should be a thought leader and able to identify opportunities where technology and enterprise platforms can be developed and implemented to drive business benefit. WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• You'll perform as a high energy, forward-thinking manager who is looking to make a big impact, and who wants to work alongside a great team to do so. We work closely together, so you must be team player!
• Leading delivery of onsite development teams.
• Provide technical vision and subject matter expertise for enterprise platform development.
• Partners with Product Owners and business stakeholders to identify, prioritize, incubate, and introduce innovative solutions to the ADP product portfolio.
• Collaborate to develop conceptual and detailed development plans, and work with internal and external resources to drive the plans to completion.
• Evaluate and select technical solutions based on business requirements and standards.
• Proactively monitor service infrastructure for feature stability and support production and operations.

EXPERIENCE YOU'LL NEED:

• Previous management experience managing a mid-size team (7-10 people) and will thrive on the prospect of taking on huge challenges, driving innovative solutions and "moving the needle" at ADP.
• 10+ years of application development individual contributor experience and having full application development to deployment experience
• Experience with (SDLC) software methodologies such as Scrum/Agile
• Experience in Event based systems, integration technologies (MQ/Message Broker, Kafka, etc.)
• Experience in J2EE, Design Patterns and SOA/Integration technologies
• Familiarity with Jenkins, GIT, MavenExperience in UI framework, e.g. Angular or React. Knowledge of Web components is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and production-support skills
• Knowledge of micro-service architecture, CICD, AWS, REST/JSON and SQL/Postgres.
