The Global Statutory Reporting Project Manager will play a key role in Workiva’s international financial reporting expansion. As Project Manager, you will simultaneously plan, manage, and execute multiple customer projects and Wdesk implementation projects. He/she will work directly with the customer and will be their main point of contact throughout the onboarding and implementation phases. Internally at Workiva, he/she will partner with Workiva’s international teams across Customer Success Managers, Solution Architects, Sales and Development to help customers achieve their business goals.
What You’ll Do:
Project Management Skills:
- Responsible for the project from inception to completion. True end-to-end project management.
- Oversees the project schedule, budget, timeline, and scope to ensure project goals are being met.
- Leads the project team and is responsible for holding the team accountable to timelines, budget, deliverables, and scope.
- Work closely with internal Stakeholder teams (may be Client Services, Customer Success, Professional services etc) and Workiva management to act as an ambassador and advocate on behalf of the customer and/or partner.
- Work with cross-functional teams such as sales, solutions architects, product development, and client services to ensure project goals and milestones are being met.
- Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Researches the proper budget for a given project, ensures the team stays within budget, and speaks to each budgeted expense.
- Has the authority to readjust the budget as needed, within scope.
Communication Skills:
- Act as the point of contact person for internal stakeholders and clients at the Executive level throughout the duration of the project.
- Stays in constant contact with the customer to ensure project is on track and communicates progress on a consistent basis.
- Consults with stakeholders when project execution does not fall within the budget, timeline, or scope to ensure the project stays within budget, on time, and within scope.
- Communicates any potential delays and estimated delivery dates to all stakeholders.
What You’ll Need:
- 5+ Years of experience as Project Manager, handling multiple projects simultaneously.
- Customer-facing experience required.
- The ability to build standard project management tools.
- Experience with Waterfall project methodology.
- The ability to travel up to 50% to customer sites for project kick-offs and/or project follow through.
- Proven experience building relationships and influencing people to meet project objectives in a timely and cost-saving manner.
Bonus Points:
- Familiarity working within the Software and/or Technology field.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
