Introduction System Services Representatives are the primary technical interface to clients for the coordination of hardware and software support and delivery of operational services. Sound pretty important? Absolutely! You will advise clients of preventive maintenance, configuration, operation and environmental factors which may drastically impact product performance or impair the client's IT operation.
Your Role and Responsibilities This person will be responsible to manage a large territory of customers. This includes the management, scheduling of and on-site repair of IBM and multi-vendor hardware, networking and software for these customers. They will be required to work with various teams to ensure that contractual obligations are met in the servicing of these customers equipment. They will also be called on to perform various projects including hardware rollouts, upgrades, and changes for clients. They will also be required to manage the calls and agents that are available to assist with the workload. Managing the parts ordering, stocking and inventories is also a significant part of this role. SSRs are the main IBM face to face technical contact of many of our clients and as a results must be able to help them directly or through referrals to other business units on all of their technical questions and needs.
This person will primarily work with the BC Interior TSS SD Team, the Edmonton TSS SD team, the various client advocates and SD teams with customers in the Grande Prairie area.
Candidate should possess the following attributes:
- Exceptionally well organized, with excellent time management skills
- The desire to work face to face with people on a regular basis
- Working as part of a team even though it is distributed
- Someone that likes the flexibility and demands of managing their own time and workload
Role is Primarily based in Grand Prairies, AB. Eligibility:
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship
- Please note that this is an internal only position and limits candidates to current IBMers in the same country and legal entity as the position
Required Technical and Professional Expertise - Hardware Repair skills (PC (2 years), Servers(2 years), Point of Sale (1 year), Printers (1 year), networking equipment (2 years).
- Must possess excellent trouble-shooting skills as well as excellent communications skills and customer services skills.
- Experience in a customer facing role is required.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise -ATM product skills (1 year)
-Storage products (1 year).
