Homologation Engineer

Job Description

Responsibilities

· Support Manufacturer Permit application, including document preparation, communication with internal and external stakeholders and coordinating onsite audit.

· Analyze vehicle technical specs and propose vehicle homologation test matrix for type approval applications.

· Communicate effectively and efficiently with MIIT/EIDC/CQC and get type approvals within aggressive timelines.

· Make, collect and process specification data, test reports, drawings, letters, etc. that are needed for type approval applications and submit them in a timely manner.

· Work effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors to get necessary resources in time for homologation activities.

· Work effectively with internal stakeholders to establish procedures that are required for homologation, including Compliance Certificate, CoP audit, component certification, VIN coding, defect investigation, recall, engineering/manufacturing change order, etc.

· Collect, research and interpret electric vehicle regulation/policy requirements.

· Maintain CAMDS and ELV systems.

Requirements

· Must be very familiar with domestic vehicle type approval process, requirements and system operations.

· Must be well connected with type approval authorities including MIIT 工信部 /EIDC 装备中心 /CQC 中国质量认证中心 .

· At least 5 years working experience within domestic vehicle type approval area with proven records from well-known auto makers.

· Strong interpersonal skills, can do attitude and ability to work under great pressure.

· Ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and 3rd parties.

· Ability and willingness to travel domestically up to 30%.
