What you’ll be doing...

The Senior Pega System Architect will be a part of Verizon’s Business Group working within Customer Experience and Managed Services supporting Global Technology Solutions (GTS).

We are looking for a Pega System Architect with experience in design and development of Business Process Management (BPM) and Business Rules Engines (BRE) applications using the Pega Platform. You should be able to support the development of SDLC deliverables for technical architecture components including system administration manual, operations manual, operations manual solution architecture document, etc. You will need to be able to configure the system and support the build where necessary.

  • Drive Business Process Automation Strategy and Analysis.
  • Drive the strategy for business process based on joint needs analysis with the service delivery and service assurance user communities.
  • Present workflow implementation strategy to executives including SVP and VP of Service Assurance and Delivery and adjust strategy based on feedback.
  • Lead a team of business process analysts working with business users to identify and document manual workflows for implementation in Pega.
  • Define the systems architecture that will enable Verizon to transform ad-hoc business processes into structured workflow that supports Verizon’s transformation requirements.
  • Lead a cross-application design team to deliver a design for integrating Pega workflow with key applications e.g. ETMS (Ticketing), ESP (Managed Services) and USP (Service Profile Inventory) to facilitate workflow automation for service delivery and service assurance.
  • Insure developers are properly and consistently implementing the workflow integration design using multiple techniques including sample or reusable Microservices code.
  • Conduct code reviews with application development teams to insure design and coding standards are being enforced.
  • Present workflow implementation strategy to executives including SVP and VP of Service Assurance and Delivery and adjust strategy based on feedback. Provide updates on weekly executive touchpoints.
  • Communication of workflow strategy, architecture and design to a wide variety of audiences including application development teams, business leads, management and executive management.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Three or more years of hands on Pega Development experience.
  • Design/Development experience in Pega Case Management.
  • Knowledge around Pega Direct Capture of Objectives (DCO) and requirement documentation.

Even better if you have:

  • Pega CPBA/CSA/CSSA/CPDC certifications.
  • Two or more years of experience leading Pega Development team.
  • Experience in creating system flow diagrams.
  • Experience in BPM development methodologies, process re-engineering, process modeling & Pega platform adoption.
  • Knowledge of PegaRULES Process Commander (PRPC) tools & framework.
  • Experience using Pega frameworks & functional design for medium to large scale projects.
  • Knowledge of technologies, including object-oriented techniques/principles, database design, application & web servers.
  • Experience in web design and development using HTML and Java.
  • Knowledge of Dev-ops/Agile.
