Job Description

WeWork is seeking an SMB (Small and Medium Business) Account Executive. Reporting to the Sales Manager, this is a full time position based in Sydney and is part of our Growth Organisation.

The Account Executive is responsible for prospecting, developing business relationships, pitching to key stakeholders and closing deals in their market in the Small to Medium sized business community (1-50 FTE). The role involves pitching a complex product and solution in a fast-paced, high growth organisation and collaborating across our Inbound Sales team, Enterprise Sales team and Community Team. The Account Executive is a vital function for growing the SMB segment and WeWork community in Australia.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting 5-6 sales tours per day across WeWork locations and pitching the WeWork value proposition to prospective members
  • Generating proposals and negotiating the best possible commercial terms for the business
  • Prospecting SMB accounts to generate pipeline through outreach
  • Grow existing SMB accounts that already have space with WeWork into larger space
  • Maintain occupancy across a portfolio 3-5 new and existing buildings
  • Monitor revenue, average discount and commitment for your portfolio of buildings
  • Collaborate and close deals with Mid Market and Enterprise Sales teams
  • Partner with our Inbound Sales and Community teams to ensure the best possible member experience
  • Develop business relationships and become a well-known member of the SMB community through networking and hosting events
  • Utilise innovative and creative sales tactics
  • Occasional regional support; 10% travel interstate
  • Working with Salesforce CRM to manage pipeline, report and ensure data accuracy

Required Skills:

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated track record in meeting sales targets in a high-volume sales environment, you’ll be expected to close 20-30 deals per month.
  • The ability to quickly respond and adapt to change.
  • Proven track record of collaboration with cross functional departments, being a team player is a must.
  • Strong attention to detail and effective time management.
  • Self-motivation and a focus on results.
  • The ability to listen attentively and tailor your pitch to a client’s needs.
  • Salesforce experience a plus.
