The position is for a DevOps Software Engineer within the Investment Systems Development group in a team that works alongside BlackRock's Financial Markets Advisory (FMA) group, building client solutions. FMA provides counsel to financial institutions, regulators, and government entities on their most critical and often most complex financial issues. There will be many opportunities to learn new skills as you work alongside an established C# development team where you will enhance the development and release cycle including the development of new tools to streamline processes.

You are:

• Curious and eager to learn new things, willing to challenge the status quo
• Passionate about improving development processes, managing environments, release management process and developing tools for streamlining product deployment
• Experienced in or would like to learn to create diagnostics and monitoring tools to check the health of client environments.
• An excellent communicator with experience in working with the stakeholders on support issues - 1st line for now, moving to 2nd line
• Willing to embrace work outside of your comfort zone, and open to guidance from others

You have:

• 1-2 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role.
• BA/BS in Computer Science from an accredited university
• Experience in PowerShell or other scripting languages in a Windows environment
• An ability to perform root cause analysis for production errors
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
• Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL

• Understanding of OO programming and design patterns knowledge and some implementation experience
