Job Description
As a Process Improvement Leader focused on the Vendor Procure to Pay process you will develop, recommend and implement continuous improvement projects to reduce cost, eliminate waste & improve process efficiencies. You will provide training, mentoring and guidance to others in the vendor procure to pay and related functions in the use of the implemented process improvements. You will track performance, measure efficiencies and communicate results to stakeholders, including senior leadership. The Process Improvement Leader will work closely with the Corporate Controller, the Senior Manager of Corporate Accounting and Shared Services and the Accounts Payable management team.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Document and evaluate the various systems and procedures currently in place to onboard vendors and pay over 25,000 invoices per month to 6,000 vendors and contractors across 20 markets.
- Investigate current workflows and process-related pain-points by interviewing and shadowing accounts payable, vendor management, vendors and other stakeholders.
- Identify process inefficiencies or shortfalls. Prioritize inefficiencies and shortfalls to best meet company’s growth goals and cost saving initiatives. Design processes and implement systems to make step-change improvements in program efficiency.
- Drive alignment across disparate teams to scope, prioritize and deploy solutions; design processes and communication channels to break down silos and ensure consistent expectations across teams and geographies.
- Implement process improvements, including managing implementation projects with both internal and external stakeholders. Develop procedural documentation and train users to execute the improved process.
- Become a trusted partner and advocate for Vendor Experience across stakeholders in Home Operations, Accounting, and Engineering.

- Strong communication skills; ability to break down processes and policies and explain them internally and externally, to both accountants and non-accountants.
- Desire to empower vendors with the tools and instructions they need to get paid timely for their hard work.

What You’ll Need:
- Minimum of 5 years related professional experience, including experience in process improvement, change management or system implementations
- Demonstrated leadership in change management, process improvement, or vendor management
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven track record of driving alignment across disparate, cross-functional teams
- Process expert with deep understanding of how to optimize workflows; expert at creating flowcharts and process maps
- Demonstrated problem solving skills with experience providing business insights and recommendations from multiple input sources (e.g. data sets, interview feedback, process flow documents, etc.)
