As a part of EIS, Enterprise Information Security Architecture (EISA) enables Wells Fargo business units to achieve their objectives and to make informed decisions that balance risk against rewards by providing actionable security- strategies, architectures, and solutions.

EISA is seeking a talented information security architect who can provide expertise in securing business data based on secure design principles, practices, and relevant security controls. Chosen candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining conceptual, logical, physical and reference architectures for key data security controls. They will also be responsible for coordinating requirements, security controls, and policy updates, as well as integration of information security requirements and standards into a variety of projects spanning multiple information technology domains. They will recommend and design mitigating controls that help project teams meet business objectives, corporate security standards, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. They will also be required to understand and stay current on emerging data security threats and related security controls. They may also be required to conduct comprehensive security assessments of emerging database security technologies, solutions, products, and projects.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of information technology systems design and planning experience; in systems, applications, or architecture

  • Experience influencing management on technical or business solutions
  • Experience with a wide application of technical principles, practices, and procedures to multiple applications or a component family
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization

  • Engineering and architecture experience with big data
  • Big Data experience
  • 1 + years of experience supporting or designing complex ETL production environments
  • Knowledge and understanding of application security planning and security architecture
  • Knowledge and understanding of data loss prevention concepts and techniques
  • Knowledge and understanding of security technologies and concepts including identity management, single sign on, directory services, role based access control, cryptographic algorithms, mutual authentication and certificate management
  • Knowledge and understanding of application or software security
  • Knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance requirements surrounding HIPAA, PCI, GLBA, SOX, and SAS70
  • Knowledge and understanding of BCBS-239 principles
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • Experience working with centralized account management solutions
  • Experience integrating database platforms with enterprise authentication solutions such as active directory
  • Experience integrating multi-factor authentication solutions such as two-factor authentication and smart cards with Database platforms
  • Working knowledge of Database Activity Monitoring, or Database Audit and Protection solutions such as IBM Guardium or Imperva SecureSphere
  • Understanding of web application security concepts and controls, including injection threats.
