Patient Care Technician/CNA- Mother/Baby Unit- Per Diem, 8-Hour, Variable Shifts

Job Description

Overlake Medical Center and Clinics is currently seeking a Patient Care Technician for our Mother Baby Unit. This is a 28-bed unit which provides Family Centered Care and included ante partum and gynecological surgery patients. The Patient Care Technician will provide direct patient care to patients and their families under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Includes such duties as ADLS, VS, walkouts, NB cardiac screens, relieve PNS deks and TcBs.

This is a per diem (on-call), 8-Hour, Variable Shift position that does not qualify for medical or dental benefits. Free parking!!

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant Training Program or equivalent documented nursing training experience.
• Nursing Assistant Certification (NA-C) required.
• Medical Assistant Registration (MA-R) required post hire (Overlake Medical Center will sponsor this licensure).
• Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers (BLS) certification required.
• One year recent experience in a health care setting involving patient contact preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and computer familiarity is preferred.
• Excellent customer service, oral and written communication skills.
