AV Systems Administrator

Role

Tesla is currently searching for an AV System Administrator to help support our growing global AV Systems. This role will be responsible for support of physical infrastructure at existing sites as well as new deployments to support Tesla’s fast-growing mission towards sustainable energy and transportation. To be qualified for this position, candidates must have experience managing computer hardware, AV systems, servers, and physical security of systems and colocation facilities. This position will also support live events in a technical support capacity.

Responsibilities

• This role will be responsible for supporting all things AV Systems within Tesla, comprising of multiple AV systems and services Tesla-owned offices and manufacturing facilities
• Directly coordinate with existing team of data center engineers, as well as external/internal contractors to manage AV systems, patches and implement security standards
• Participate in planning with IT and Facilities teams
• Work closely with IT and AV Engineers to ensure new office build handoffs are thorough and complete
• Basic network understanding including TCP/IP, UDP, IP schemas
• Basic AV understanding including system flow, as-builts, system routing
• Basic Technical AV understanding for live events including, live streaming, audio engineering, video engineering, camerawork, lighting and staging

Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in IT or Facilities focused projects or equivalent required
• Emphasis on Zoom experience preferred
• Emphasis on QSYS integration experience preferred
• Emphasis on MagicInfo integration experience preferred
• Certification or related technical certificates a plus
• Systems administration or history of highly technical engagements
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in an extremely fast-paced environment
• Happy to travel and attend events globally as needed
• Clean, valid driving license
• Photoshop experience and skills with Microsoft Office packages
• Understanding of datacenter/campus networking
