As a member of our Marketing team, you’ll be part of a multidisciplinary group of strategic thinkers, storytellers, designers, and talented campaign professionals.
We’re looking for a Youth Marketing Specialist in the Northeast to join our Tinder U team, (a student-only feature available for traditional 4-year college and university students in the US). They’ll be responsible for building regional brand affinity and increasing local consumption within key schools in the Tinder U Student Brand Marketing Manager (SBMM) program. Through this position, they’ll work to foster loyalty, cultural authenticity, and drive positive brand sentiment on campus.
In this role you will:
- Manage the day-to-day logistics of the Tinder U program on regional campuses by owning direct communication and management of a select group of SBMMs
- Approve SBMM campus activity proposals, creative assets, proactively tracking campus activity, and campaigns
- Create actionable, localized strategies around potential activations on college campuses located in your region. Implement those strategies and activations in parallel or conjunction with local SBMM teams
- Share with HQ Tinder U activities on managed SBMM campuses through weekly email reports and weekly calls
- Review market trends and competitive analysis on what other brands are doing on campuses
- Set, communicate, and maintain timelines, budgets, and priorities on every project.
- Think outside the box, getting creative and turning collegiate insights into localized activations
- Identify areas of opportunity and growth at campuses within the region, specifically around collegiate playgrounds like music, art, tech, etc.
We’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Communications or similar discipline
- 1-2+ years direct marketing experience in field marketing (recent graduates welcome)
- Past Student Marketing experience a plus as an ambassador or other relevant position
- Extensive knowledge of regional, and collegiate landscape
- Must be a team player, collaborative, proactive, and flexible
- Self-directed, efficient and able to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a professional and confident manner under tight deadlines
- Strong project management and interpersonal skills, with ability to take initiative in a challenging, fast-paced environment of multiple priorities
- Familiar with the creative development and production process is a plus
- Local to Boston/NY region
Expectations:
- Expect to spend about 15 hours a week working
- Travel to a minimum of one activation per campus per semester (paid for by Tinder)
