We seek a senior electrical and electronics engineering professional with a deep knowledge and highly developed technical expertise that can direct activities in the discipline and represent the organization at external events. This senior engineering professional will evaluate operating systems, provide technical training, design electronic components, and develop implementation schedules. In addition, She /he will apply scientific principles to innovate, design, develop, and implement technologies, components, sub-systems, machines, tools, and systems to ensure compliance to specifications, requirements, and customer guarantees across applicable operating conditions.

Additionally the senior electrical and electronic engineer will ensure that novel ideas and implementations are captured and protected using applicable IP processes and tools, as well as research, develop, design, and test electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks. The senior electrical and electronics engineer will also designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes, and produce products according to specifications, using the most cost effective and efficient means.

She / he will also analyze and evaluate new or improved electronic components, which will include power generation, transmission and distribution, rotating machinery, illumination, wire communication systems and servomechanisms. These projects may also include circuit theory, computer design and development, instrumentation, radio communications, semiconductor devices, solid state devices, and television systems.
Primary Responsibilities

  • Drives the research, development, design, and testing of electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks to ensure that business objectives and required specifications are met.
  • Represents the organization at conferences, meetings, boards, panels, committees, or working groups to present, explain, or defend findings or recommendations, negotiate compromises or agreements, or exchange information.
  • Provides technical training for less experienced engineers to ensure that quality standards are met.
  • Analyzes system requirements, capacity, cost, and customer needs to determine feasibility of project and develop system plans.
  • Designs electronic components, software, products, or systems for commercial, industrial, medical, military, or scientific applications.
  • Develops implementation schedules and proposes cost budgets to ensure projects are completed on time and within established budgets.
  • May manage moderately sized projects or processes.
  • Typically viewed as subject-matter expert within discipline.
  • Has advanced to expert knowledge of work area.
  • Problems faced are difficult and often complex.
  • Minimal oversight from manager.
  • Coaches, reviews, and delegates work to lower level professionals.
  • Influences others regarding policies, practices and procedures.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of relevant experience OR
  • Advance degree and 5 years of relevant experience OR
  • In absence of a degree, 11 years of relevant experience is required

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of relevant experience OR
  • Advance degree and 5 years of relevant experience OR
  • In absence of a degree, 11 years of relevant experience is required
  • Must have prior leadership experience, managing moderately sized projects and lower level professionals
  • Must be a US Citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expert in analog circuit design and analysis, with multiple proven designs
  • Expert knowledge of analog components, including resistors, capacitors, inductors, analog multiplexer/switches, op-amps and transorbs and zeners
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Detailed schematic generation and Bill Of Materials
    • Schematic Peer Reviews
    • Power & Current Summaries
    • Electrostatic Discharge Component Analysis
    • Lightning & Transient Protection Analysis
    • Fuse Selection
    • Leakage Analysis
    • Stability Analysis
    • Voltage Current Stress De-rating Analysis
    • Electrostatic Discharge Component Analysis
    • Lightning & Transient Protection Analysis
    • Design Verification Test (DVT)
