Advisory Systems Engineer

Our field sales professionals rely on proactive technical support during the sales process – and our expert Systems Engineering team always steps up to the mark. We lead the development and implementation of complex and specialized products, applications, services and solutions. From delivering sales presentations and product demonstrations, to developing detailed installations or system integration plans, we ensure customers get the innovative, relevant, interoperable solutions they need.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with account Sales and Presales teams where you prepare, present, and demonstrate best practice and solution for adoption of UDS technology along with addressing technical questions and delivering PoCs that come up during the sales cycle.
- Senior level sales engineer with expert understanding of UDS product and solution portfolio.
- Deliver UDS vision and technology presentation convincingly to customers and prospects.
- Educate UDS product and solution to Dell EMC internal and channel partners.
- Deliver technical verification, materials, trainings, knowledge sharing, and further activities to maximize UDS business.
- Provide competitive knowledge and solutions to effectively address and dispel objections for UDS product and solution.
- Provide industory/market/customer insight to internal and cross functional groups.
- Leverage as coach/mentor to others
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 7 years in presales role in NAS solution
- Minimum 12 years in selling technology in IT industry with solid negotiation skills and business acumen.
- Experience of deep knowledge of file share service protocols (CIFS, NFS, FTP, etc)
- Comprehensive understanding of file/object/streaming architecture and UDS solutions including Isilon/ECS/Nautilus, ability to articulate on the concept and technilogy to customers.
- Posses networking and system infrastructure experience including and not limited to Load-Balancers, L2/L3 switching, AD/LDAP and other Core Infrastructure services used in large enterprises.
- Experience selling into and supporting vertical and solution market segments such as Analytics, EDA, Media Entertainment, Surveillance, Life Science, etc.
- Capable of self-learning, develop contents such as product demos, presentations, labs, hands-on, and case studies to be used by presales team.
- Works with teams to define future directions and strategies
Desirable Requirements
- Technical expertise of server operating system (Windows, Linux, VMware, etc)
- Technical expertise of Horizontal solutions (Analytics, AI, EDA, Media Entertainment, etc.)
- Business level English skills
- Have technical expertise of Isilon 301 and ECS 301 level
- Comprehensive knowledge of system management, automation, virtualization, analytics,
- Comprehensive understanding of Analytics/Hadoop/AI/M&E/VSS/Nautilus solution for UDS
