Job Description

The primary responsibility of the intern is to organize documentation generated by the group and assist the team with BC planning. Activities would include:
  • Participating in team meetings to understand how progress is being made and the challenges faced by the team.
  • Listening in on planning calls with business units such as Pixar, Marvel, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts and ABC Television and provide opinions to the team.
  • Helping the team stay organized and manage documentation that is maintained in various Office 365 repositories.
  • On a limited basis, engaging directly with business units to obtain information on BC planning progress.
  • Interacting with Disney’s brokers and insurance carriers with requests for information.
  • As needed, help set up meetings with construction teams to discuss insurance issues. The intern can participate in those meetings if desired.
  • On a limited basis, participating in safety walks on construction sites with the team.
A second responsibility will be to assist with loss control/risk mitigation efforts across TWDC. This includes:
  • Monitoring property insurance carrier recommendations
  • Following-up on pending actions
  • Updating progress in system
  • Experience with MS Office and SharePoint
  • Verbal and written communications skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Organizational skills and an ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Strong Knowledge of Office 365 apps such as Flow, Teams, Planner and Power App
  • Knowledge of reporting tools such as Business Objects, Tableau
  • At the time of application, must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
  • Classes focused on Risk Management, Business Administration, Finance, or related.
  • The approximate dates of this internship are May/June 2020 through August/September 2020
  • Candidate must be available to work full time hours (approximately 35 hours per week) for the duration of the internship.
  • At the time of application, must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Housing: A limited amount of housing is available on a first come, first served basis.
  • Transportation: Interns must have reliable transportation to get to and from work for the duration of their internship program.

We are looking for an intern who is interested in learning more about loss prevention through business resilience planning.
