The Handset Library Expert will be member of the R&D team, based in Praha, in charge of delivering the fuel of Gemalto’s Device Management platforms of our customers.
This library containing GSM device characteristic, is currently used by more than 80 sites worldwide, targeting 1.5 billion Mobile Network Operator’s subscribers.
He/she will participate to all tasks handled by handset team, including Library development, test, deliveries, support, maintenance and development of existing and new tools, continuous improvement of process, documentation.
He/she will contribute to ensure best quality of handset library deliveries, and to improve team Agility.
A WEEK IN THE LIFE OF A HANDSET LIRBARY TOOLS DEVELOPER:
- You will produce the regular library updates (monthly/fortnightly)
- You will provide input to improve reliability and efficiency of handset library deliveries and process
- You will maintain and enhance internal tools
- You will handle L3 support requests coming from ours customers
- You will work remotely with other team in various countries such as France, India, Mexico.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- You need to have University degree, ideally in Software, Electronics
- You must have very good level of English (daily communication), French or Spanish is a plus
- We are looking for someone with good in scripting languages such as Bash, Python
- We are looking for someone with good SQL database knowledge such as MySQL and SQLite
- We are looking for someone with experience in troubleshooting and support
- You should have knowledge of confluence, Jira and agility (Scrum/Kanban)
- You should have development experience (Java, PHP)
