Job Description

The Clinical division of Abbott Medical Devices in Belgium is looking for a CLINICAL DATA ANALYST.

The Clinical Data Analyst works on various projects related to the data management aspects of the clinical studies, which help ensure the integrity of the clinical data.

More specifically, the Clinical Data Analyst will be responsible for;

  • Acting as a liaison between the user and the Clinical Data Operations (CDO) department for the design of Case Report Forms (CRF).
  • Providing input to the content and flow of CRFs.
  • Designing CRFs which include tracking of all new forms and all modifications made, as well as enforcing the pre-defined standards across different functional groups.
  • Supporting collection of design requirements and specifications for new clinical data management applications.
  • Writing specifications for reports to be created by the Systems Development Group. Reports will be used to identify potential data quality issues in the clinical databases.
  • Testing of new studies set up and custom reports.
  • Providing input into how processes are designed and identifies productivity improvements within CDO.
  • Supporting discrepancy management effort by preparing data clarification forms based on review of incoming clinical data for missing/incorrect information.
  • Performing analysis of clinical data per defined requirements.
  • Involving in the review of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and is responsible for maintaining working procedures.

Who are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, an applicable technical field or equivalent
  • 2+ years’ experience in a clinical research environment with a good understanding of data management processes
  • General knowledge of database terminology and technology, knowledge of SQL would be a strong asset
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work independently
  • Fluency in English is essential (any other language is a strong asset)
