Risk Manager

Job Description

Jump Trading is looking for a Risk Manager to fill a key front line risk operations role. As part of a global team, you’ll work directly with traders, treasury, clearing, compliance, and other operations team to monitor and analyze the market and operational risk profile of the firm.

What you’ll do:

• Review and analyze risk exposures for various trading strategies and asset classes
• Manage risk limits for global trading strategies
• Monitor real-time P&L, positions, capital, and risk exception activity
• Design solutions for existing and emerging “worst case” risk scenarios
• Engage with trading teams to understand their approach to risk and challenge them to improve

Skills you’ll need:

• At least 5 years of experience in a risk or operations role
• Undergraduate degree in a quantitative discipline (Econ, Math, Statistics, Finance, Engineering, CS)
• Intellectual curiosity
• Creative problem solving/out of the box thinking
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good judgment and decision-making ability (including confidence to question assumptions and say no when appropriate)
• Work accurately and collaboratively under pressure
• Experience with Python, R, SQL, Linux, a plus
