What is the opportunity?

The Ampli Marketing Director will lead the development and expert execution of high-impact marketing plans to grow Ampli’s user base, lead and execute Dreamstakes and bring merchant partnerships to life.

You will bring thought leadership, data-based planning expertise, creative innovation and a collaborative approach that will drive to impact, and deliver on significant acquisition and growth targets.

Through partnership, coordination, and innovation, you will lead and be personally accountable for the design, delivery, and execution of marketing plans across integrated channels to grow the Ampli business. You will provide insight, advice, and leadership to a team of marketers, ensuring their high performance and effectiveness.

What will you do?

  • Lead and develop a team of high-performing marketers; inspire, motivate and coach for success, while ensuring executional excellence.
  • Collaborate with product leads, along with internal business partners at RBC and RBC Ventures to fuel integration, and translate business needs and emerging priorities into marketing strategies and go-to-market plans for Ampli and our merchants.
  • Lead marketing and media mix in both brand building & digital performance marketing. Find new sources of growth, try & test ideas and drive to impact with key digital marketing strategies.
  • Champion a best-in-class CRM strategy to deepen engagement with Ampli consumers, encouraging them to use Ampli to earn more, to celebrate their earnings and become advocates for the brand.
  • Use extensive data, analytics and consumer insights to inform and deliver the marketing strategy for annual and campaign planning processes.
  • Work with RBC Ventures Partnership team to ensure mutually beneficial relationships with Ampli merchants – making sure no partner marketing opportunities left uncovered.
  • Oversee end-to-end management of Ampli marketing budgets, including monthly & quarterly re-forecasting, tracking, reconciliation, stakeholder updates.
  • Work closely with creative team and external agency partners to deliver bold creative that is on brand, on time and on budget, and media plans that are innovative and deliver strong ROI.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • 12+ years of marketing experience with a strong focus on direct and digital, including extensive experience in a strategic leadership capacity.
  • Expertise across all marketing disciplines, with depth of experience in digital, social, mobile, on-site and mass.
  • People management experience, including leading multiple direct reports and layered teams.
  • Proven success developing full-funnel marketing strategies, and building, delivering, and quantifying go-to-market plans
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders and a matrixed organization.

Nice-to-have

  • University degree – undergraduate and/or MBA
  • A creative eye combined with a keen attention to detail; willingness to be bold and challenge status quo
  • Comfortable with innovation, new technologies and platforms – in a fast-paced environment. Analytical & numbers oriented.
  • Strong ability to work in a collaborative, supportive way in cross-functional teams and across the organization
  • Loyalty marketing experience
