Job Description:

• Extensive experience working in Quality Engineering teams, not only leading but having a hands-on knowledge around front-end automation, back-end service, performance strategy, security/gates, cloud and pipelines
• This is a hands on leadership QE role
• Oversee creation of and monitor test strategies, test plans, and detailed project schedules used in multiple-technology or complex program implementations.
• Oversee development, management and communication of defect metrics, trends or root cause that will contribute to improvements minimizing or eliminating re-occurrence.
• Foster progressive improvement of established software development methodologies in conjunction with quality assurance best practice.
• Identify and procure suites of tools essential for the full testing lifecycle; make commitments with development and QA managers regarding testing automation levels.
• Allocate associates according to skill set and experience to support testing of projects and post-production support work; cross train staff to gain technical and business knowledge.
• Hire, develop and manage a department of diverse, cross-functional quality assurance professionals conducting automated and manual tests.

What will make you a good fit for this role?

• You have attained a Bachelor in Science degree (Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or equivalent).
• A Master degree and/or MBA is a big plus
• You have previous experience in a Architect / Solutions level position or leadership position focused on Quality Engineering, around automation/performance testing while driving the development of quality code.
• You have extensive experience working in Quality Engineering teams, not only leading but having a hands-on knowledge around front-end automation using Selenium/Protractor, back-end service using open source Java libraries, performance strategy, security/gates, cloud and pipelines
• You've championed dynamic improvement of established software development methodologies in conjunction with quality assurance standard methodology
• Oversee creation of and monitor test strategies, test plans, and detailed project schedules used in multiple-technology or complex program implementations.
• Oversee development, management and communication of defect metrics, trends or root cause that will contribute to improvements minimizing or eliminating re-occurrence.
• Foster progressive improvement of established software development methodologies in conjunction with quality assurance best practice.
• Identify and procure suites of tools essential for the full testing lifecycle; make commitments with development and QA managers regarding testing automation levels.

• You have being part of transforming QA teams into QE Automation teams
• You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with team members at various levels, including business leaders
• You have a real passion for and the ability to learn new technologies You would ideally have experience testing for cloud native applications and implementations and Scrum Master Certification
