Job Description

Location: 1 MetroTech Center, Brooklyn, New York 11201

Directing, managing and coordinating activities in the area of quantitative analysis and data science, including research, development, and analysis in these areas; Leading, managing, and mentoring a team of two (2) data scientists; Determining scientific and/or technical goals and developing detailed plans to accomplish these goals; Employing sophisticated analytics programs, machine learning (regression, clustering, or classification), and quantitative methods for predictive and prescriptive modeling, forecasting, and simulations; Discovering the best methods of integrating data from several different sources and formats for use of analyses; Managing data science project efforts including reviewing project activities, testing, and preparing operational reports; and Conducting research in data science and conducting trainings and presentations.

Master of Science degree in any discipline or foreign equivalent degree plus three (3) years of quantitative or data science experience in the energy sector, including leading projects, coordinating activities and research in the area of data science or quantitative analysis, and employing predictive or prescriptive modeling using such tools and techniques as regression, clustering, or classification; and utilizing Linux and Python or R.

Working off hours to provide support during weekdays, weekends and holidays on as- needed basis may be required. Occasional work-related travel within the U.S. (NY, RI & MA) may be required. Background checks may apply.
